The Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship formally prepares for its 2019 season with an official test at Brands Hatch on Wednesday 27 March, ahead of the opening rounds at the same venue on 6-7 April.
This is an early chance to see a new-look BTCC, including the return of the legendary BMW 3 Series, with reigning champion Colin Turkington behind the wheel. His main title rival Tom Ingram has a new car too – a factory-backed Toyota Corolla – whilst series legend Jason Plato has reunited with the Vauxhall brand which brought him the 2001 title to pursue a 100th BTCC win.
Matt Neal and Dan Cammish will spearhead Honda’s efforts this year, whilst 2017 champion Ashley Sutton remains behind the wheel of a works Subaru Levorg. There will be local interest through the Wrotham-based Motorbase team, and its star driver Tom Chilton. This year’s grid also boasts an F1 connection, through Lewis Hamilton’s brother Nicolas and ex-Grand Prix driver Mark Blundell.

Admission for this test is FREE from 09:30 and there will be a public pit walk at 13:10.

Visitors to events at all four MSV circuits can benefit from the use of free WiFi.
The service can be accessed from the pit garages and spectator grandstands at Brands Hatch, Snetterton and Oulton Park, plus venue restaurants (including Cadwell Park). This scale of coverage is unprecedented amongst UK motorsport venues.
To access the facility, provided free-of-charge via the Purple WiFi portal, users simply select MSV-HOTSPOT-WIFI from their smartphone, tablet or PC and log in using their Facebook or email address details.
This free service is also available throughout the week, incorporating trackdays and testing in addition to weekend race events.
There is designated disabled parking available near the main Paddock Hill Grandstand.. Vehicles parked in this areas must display a Blue Badge and will be directed by venue staff on arrival. If you intend to park near to Paddock Hill Grandstand please head to the main entrance (next to the Mercure Hotel).
There is a dedicated wheelchair viewing area in Paddock Hill Grandstand with free of charge access to wheelchair users plus one carer. Any additional carers, friends or family must be in possession of a valid grandstand ticket. Please contact our ticket office on 0843 453 9000 to reserve space in the wheelchair viewing area in advance.
